Background – Inclusive Design in Hong Kong
One reason for social exclusion is the lack of awareness of issues relating to population diversity and the impact that this can have on the urban design and planning process. In a dense city like Hong Kong, the challenges of diversity include issues of age, gender, race and disability. Through this collective workshop, young people from different backgrounds will investigate a specific aspect of everyday life and experience and see how inclusive design thinking can help to investigate and innovate answers to these issues.
